Coughing A Cold Without A Fever For 2 Weeks?
In the afternoon, I had a cough with phlegm, and a runny nose had been blocked for 2 weeks, but I did not have a fever and my temperature always checked below 37 degrees. The head is sometimes dizzy, and the solar plexus sometimes hurts (only a few times not often). After 4 days I took drugs and vitamins but have not recovered only improved. Can this be a hallmark of the covid-19 virus?
Hello, beautiful 22998
Thank you for the question.
Covid-19 is a disease caused by coronavirus infection which has symptoms in the form of fever (the main symptom that most often appears in cases of covid-19), sore throat, coughing colds, and there can also be shortness of breath that indicates the presence of pulmonary infections such as pneumonia. Basically this symptom resembles the symptoms of respiratory tract infections such as common cold and influenza, so your complaint is not merely a covid-19 disease. In addition, in co-19, there must be a history of traveling or contact with people who have traveled to foreign or domestic areas infected with this disease, as well as direct contact with people who are positive in co-19 in the last 14 days. The complaint of pain in the gut can be a digestive disorder, such as increased stomach acid or dyspeptic syndrome.
You do not need to worry, because most of the infections that attack the upper respiratory tract are caused by viruses and can heal by themselves within 1 week without the need for special treatment. If the complaint does not improve within 1 week and has worsened, high fever (temperature above 38 degrees Celsius), and shortness of breath, immediately contact the nearest doctor for further examination and action according to your condition.
The following are tips that can be done as a form of co-19 prevention:
Wash your hands regularly and correctly with water and soap or sanitizer. Avoid touching the face with hands. Clean the furniture that is often used and the environment. Avoid going out and going to crowded places. Avoid direct contact with others or social distancing. Maintaining immunity, can by taking immune supplements. Drink at least 2 liters of water per day. Hopefully this information can help and hope you get better soon.
