Cry Before Menstruation?
My doctor wanted to ask, why every time I want to menstruate I always cry and cry really sad and after that cry I feel relieved?
Menstruation is accompanied by changes in hormonal balance. Increased levels of reproductive hormones during menstruation, causing various symptoms known as premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Symptoms vary for each individual. There are individuals who routinely experience PMS every month, some are not.
Changes in emotions and affect (mood) is one of the symptoms of PMS caused by changes in hormonal balance. Someone can feel irritable, sad, anxious, not excited, and so on. Crying is one of the symptoms of PMS. Symptoms will disappear after menstruation lasts or after menstruation is complete. This is normal. If then the emotional and mood changes take place outside the menstrual period and interfere with daily productivity, then you should consult with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Thus my brief explanation, hopefully can add to your insight. Regards.
