CT Scan Is Necessary For Babies Whose Mouth Is Tilted When They Yawn?
Good night 5 days ago I gave birth by Caesarean, when the doctor saw my child he said there was an abnormality, (bleeding head / nerves) I was told to have a head ultrasound and thank God the results were normal, but when my child cried / yawned his mouth was slightly tilted, is there really an abnormality in my child and do I need to do a CT scan / further examination, Thank you
Bleeding of the baby's head at the new age can arise due to several possibilities such as:
Brain blood vessel formation abnormalities
The existence of bleeding under the baby's scalp can usually improve as the baby's growth or called a cephalhematoma
Bleeding of the baby's head is more dangerous where the location can be under the baby's scalp there is a lump passing through the midline of the baby's head or called a subgaleal hematoma
Suspicious or due to other actions during the process of pregnancy and childbirth
Trauma or impact on the child's head
For that note if there are lumps, the child often cries loudly, the head looks enlarged, there is weakness on one side of the baby's body or other abnormalities then it is advisable to re-consult a pediatrician or neurologist so that a good physical examination, reflex examination- reflexes in infants or further tests according to indications one of them by scanning through CT scans to ensure the condition of your child.
