Good afternoon, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Finding caterpillars in food is actually quite common, though that does not mean that caterpillars may be eaten just like that. Caterpillars are often found mainly in fruits such as pears, apples, and guavas, and various kinds of vegetables.
In your case, after boiling it should be dead, and more harmless than if accidentally eaten. Even if there are problems, usually in the form of diarrhea, abdominal pain or nausea, which does not last long. So if you don't feel complaints about the digestive system now, you don't need to worry because it means that nothing has happened to you.
Then for a lump in the throat, this can mean many things, one of which is the influence of the mind because you feel you have just swallowed a caterpillar. Over time, the complaint will go away by itself and if it does not improve or other symptoms appear, check your condition with your doctor. Meanwhile there is no need to worry and in the future, always check your cooking ingredients before processing. So, hopefully answering your question.
