Dark Green Diarrhea With Nausea And Flatulence?
I want to ask.rnIt’s been almost a week since I had diarrhea. Now the diarrhea is sometimes water, sometimes like porridge. At that time it was dark green and once also pale yellow. My stomach also feels bloated and sometimes nauseous, my stomach also becomes a little distended. Are these symptoms of diarrhea a sign of a serious illness?
Diarrhea is defined as watery stools more than 3 times in 24 hours. Generally the cause is inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, can be due to bacterial infection or irritation from food/drinks that enter. Occasionally other complaints such as bloating and nausea can also appear, the cause is more or less the same. If the frequency of diarrhea is not too frequent and the number of diarrhea is not too much, this is usually categorized as mild diarrhea. Simply drink plenty of water to replace lost fluids and if necessary take stool compaction medication (a doctor's prescription).
Sometimes when you have diarrhea, the color of the stool can be green or pale yellow. When a person has diarrhea, the digestive process will be shorter so that the intestines do not have time to produce a brownish color in the feces. As a result of course the stool becomes green or slightly pale yellow.
Diarrhea that persists for more than a week should be checked immediately by a doctor. This condition is feared to cause dehydration in the body. The doctor may perform a series of examinations, ranging from a physical examination, blood tests, or stool tests. The best treatment will be tailored to the cause found. If it turns out that there are serious signs of diarrhea, such as weakness, dizziness, cold hands/feet, until the sensation of fainting, immediately go to the nearest emergency room to get further treatment.
