Desperate, Want To Commit Suicide And Afraid To Meet Other People?
Hello, I feel very sad because I failed to get a scholarship that my parents dreamed of achieving. I feel sad every time I see my parents. I feel disappointed by everyone, my teachers, my parents, and myself. Especially after that failure I also experienced many problems at home, the organization, the school environment, even the neighborhood. I feel very hopeless. Never crossed my mind to commit suicide. Until now I still feel scared and worried every time I meet other people. I always feel afraid and ashamed. I also feel anxious every time I do something, afraid of wrong actions. What should I do to overcome my excessive anxiety?
Hello Latteandcheese, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Reading the complaints you submit above, these complaints can be caused by severe type of depressive disorder, but can also be caused by other conditions, such as adjustment disorders, acute stress reactions, anxiety disorders, or bipolar disorder.
To ascertain whether you are depressed or not, it is highly recommended that you consult your physician specialist (psychiatrist) for an evaluation of your mental condition. The doctor will invite you to tell all your complaints and assess your current psychiatric condition, to determine whether the problem is indeed causing a psychiatric disorder for you or not, and what is the best therapy for your current condition, and if needed, maybe the doctor will provide medicine for you.
In the meantime, you should share your problem with your parents, although they may be disappointed with the results you have achieved today, your parents will definitely continue to support you in passing through the various problems you face today. Also get closer to God through prayers to ask for His guidance in all your efforts and activities that you are doing right now. Don't think about ending your life, because every problem has a solution. Do also activities that if you make you happy, such as exercise, hobbies, and others.
I hope this helps.
