1 Answer:
Hi.
The heart is a vital organ. Diseases of the heart consist of various kinds of diseases.
Coronary heart disease is a condition in which there is a blockage in the coronary blood vessels resulting in disruption of blood flow to the heart muscle, and causing the oxygen supply to the heart muscle to decrease. This will cause pain in the chest which is often referred to as a heart attack.
Coronary heart disease can cause symptoms such as chest pain that feels heavy, radiating to the left arm, chin or cheek. Pain can also be felt in the pit of the stomach or back. Accompanied also by cold sweat, weakness, pounding palpitations.
Therefore, it is recommended for people with coronary heart disease to have regular check-ups with a heart specialist (SPJP) so that an in-person examination can be carried out.
