Differences In Blood Type Between Parent And Child?
Hello, I want to ask, I am blood type AB from AB’s father and mother O. I know my blood type is AB from my mother because when I was little my father needed a blood donor, so I am 3 siblings at that time doing a blood type check, and Finally, the three of us brothers did a blood drive because our blood groups are all AB. My question is, isn’t it if AB’s father and O’s mother is his child A or B, and if O’s father and AB’s mother is his AB child, why am I AB from AB’s father and O’s mother ???? thank you
Blood type according to the ABO system there are 4 namely blood type A, B, AB, and O. Child's blood type is determined from the blood type of father and mother. If the father is blood type AB and mother O, his children will have a blood type of 50% A and 50% B.
If there is a difference with the possibility of blood type, you can discuss again with parents and can do a blood group test again to make sure your blood type and your parents yes. You can consult with a doctor on duty in the relevant lab.
Hope it helps you,
