Different Estimates Of Gestational Age?
In the morning my doctor was pregnant .. according to the ultrasound results and the obstetrician it was approximately 34-35week but the results I checked with the clinic midwife were 36-37week. According to the doctor, which results can be used as a benchmark for my gestational age.? My last day of my period 22-30 August 2017.
Hello Mother Rara,
Estimation of gestational age can be done by various methods such as; Manual calculation of HPHT (first day of last menstruation). Using ultrasound measurements of fetal bone and fetal body size. Estimates by measuring the TFU (uterine fundal height), which is a measure of the height of the mother's stomach from the lower part of the stomach to the upper limit of the uterus. Keep in mind that not all absolute or definite measurements indicate the age of the fetus.
Moms don't need to worry, consult the condition of your pregnancy with the obstetrician who handles the mother because direct abdominal examination and ultrasound are needed to estimate gestational age and estimate the date of birth, without direct examination it is difficult to assess gestational age.
Tips for mothers are to eat nutritious food, get enough rest, do light exercise such as regular walking, drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water a day, keep your genitals clean. Monitor the baby's weight gain with ultrasound measurements by an expert, and monitor fetal movements at least 2 times in 12 hours. May be useful
