Difficult To Remember The Name Is Classified As Dyslexic Disease?
hello good night, I have symptoms of having trouble remembering someone’s name, but once in a while I know that face. Does this include dyslexia?
Hello Putri Sari, thank you for asking.
Dyslexia is included in the group of learning and language disorders. Dyslexia can occur mildly so that someone is not aware of it, or it can occur severe. People with dyslexia generally have difficulty learning and begin to appear at school age. Someone can be considered less clever or slow in learning, even though dyslexia does not always affect the level of intelligence.
Symptoms vary, for example:
Trouble reading. Letters can be exchanged with each other, words or letters can jump while reading. So as a result someone becomes lazy to read and left behind in academics.
Trouble writing. Someone often makes mistakes in writing letters or words.
Slow in reading, writing and counting.
Difficult to distinguish, recognize, and memorize letters and numbers.
Difficulty studying foreign languages.
Difficulty processing new and difficult words.
Difficulty remembering people's names is not necessarily included in dyslexia. Some people do have short-term memory that is poorly trained. So that if the name is not often spoken or heard, long-term memory will not be formed, then someone becomes easily forgotten. In addition, difficulty in concentrating can also affect a person's likelihood to forget names.
If you have doubts, you can consult a psychologist about this. The psychologist will conduct several tests to determine whether you are included in dyslexia or not. Dyslexia can certainly be overcome, it's just that it must be diligent and consistent in order to get optimal results.
Hopefully this answer can help. Regards.
