Difficulty Breathing Due To The Haze Condition?
Hello doctor, good night.
Thank you for using the HealthReplies.com consulting service
We understand the discomfort you feel.
Asthma and ARI are two different types of diseases. Asthma is a disease due to allergies, symptoms occur since the age of children and generally the symptoms will begin to subside when entering adulthood. Asthma will occur in someone who has atopy (a tendency to have allergies), is inherited from parents or family so that symptoms will often appear or disappear and arise when triggered by allergens from outside such as dust, pollution, mites, powder, food, temperature changes and environment.
In contrast to ARI (upper respiratory infection) which can occur due to viral or bacterial infections. In addition, this disease can also be influenced by other factors such as changes in temperature and exposure to air due to pollution.
Exposure to smoke directly can cause inflammation of the respiratory tract. Dirty air can also carry a variety of germs that enter the respiratory tract and cause inflammation.
So, if you have never experienced symptoms of allergies, or symptoms of recurrence of asthma, then the possibility that the symptoms that you are experiencing now are ARI.
However, a series of examinations are needed to assess the disease for sure with a direct physical examination and supporting examinations such as blood laboratories, X-rays, allergy tests and several other tests to find a definitive diagnosis.
Thus the information we can convey, hopefully helps
