Difficulty Sleeping Due To Sexual Arousal At Night?
Hello Doctor, I am a single young man. I am curious about the term condition that I experienced before going to sleep. One time when I was going to sleep I had difficulty entering the sleep phase. There is discomfort that comes from the genitals such as itching but not real itching. I tried to ignore and close my eyes for a long time, but the results were zero, the feeling was still disturbing. In the end I gave up by touching and doing it. Is that what is called libido? I feel such discomfort only when going to sleep, Does it (libido) only appear at bedtime? U003cbr u003ePlease explain, Thank you.
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Libido is the desire to have sex. That desire is called libido, so libido is not a disease, or a condition of insomnia due to arousal or something. What you experience is actually not general and describes certain specific conditions. Complaints of 'itching but not real itching'-actually still prone to misunderstanding.
So our best guess for a while is your libido or sexual desire arises at night when you sleep because at that time your mind is empty, you are not doing other activities, and maybe you did indeed often masturbate during the night before sleep. This habit that then makes your brain seem to 'remember' the period before going to sleep is a period of masturbation and makes your libido go up.
For this condition, what you can really do is avoid the habit. Try to go to bed early, exercise before going to sleep, or listen to soft music to take you to sleep so that your mind is distracted. If indeed your complaint has become very disturbing and you can not end it, check yourself to a psychologist or psychiatrist to get further examination. So, hopefully answering your question.
