Hello. My doctor wants to ask .. why during fasting I have trouble sleeping at night, feeling restless. So, during fasting for the past few days, I have experienced my heart beating faster than usual, sore throat, heartburn, dizziness, nausea, cold sweat, and yesterday I felt like vomiting while standing doing activities.
Difficulty sleeping or known as insomnia is a condition where there is difficulty starting or maintaining sleep. Insomnia itself can be caused due to various causes, such as psychological disorders, changes in sleep rhythm / cycle, there is a physical illness such as feeling pain or shortness of breath.
From what you are experiencing, heartburn accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and cold sweat and a racing heart may be due to GERD. Gerd or acid reflux disease is a condition in which there is an increase in stomach acid towards the throat. This often occurs in people who are obese, consume alcohol, or often lie down immediately after eating. GERD can cause symptoms such as shortness of breath, palpitations, heartburn, heartburn, bitter and sour mouth, belching, nausea and vomiting. GERD can also indirectly cause difficulty sleeping.
But besides that, the condition you are experiencing can also be caused by other causes such as:
gastritis / inflammation of the stomach wall
coronary heart disease
low blood sugar / hypoglycemic levels
therefore, to determine the cause of the condition you are experiencing, you should check with your doctor first so that the doctor can check your condition directly, maybe later additional tests such as blood tests, X-rays or EKG if necessary. Thus the doctor can provide the right therapy for you.
