Hi Vinda, thanks for the question.
Discharge from the genitals must be distinguished whether the fluid comes from the urinary tract or from the reproductive organs (vagina). There are several possibilities for these fluids, including:
Vaginal discharge, which can be caused by a yeast infection (may feel itchy around the genitals, pain during intercourse, and a burning sensation when urinating) or a bacterial infection (smells fishy, feels itchy/hot)
Amniotic fluid, which is normally clear yellowish in color. Generally, this fluid only comes out once and often gushes / profusely, can be accompanied by bleeding and a feeling of tightness in the abdomen (contractions).
urine. To distinguish whether the fluid is urine or amniotic fluid, you can use a pad to collect it and assess whether there is a urine odor or not.
Sexually transmitted diseases, etc
Because your gestational age has been included in the last 3 months, then you should immediately consult a doctor for further evaluation. If the fluid is true amniotic fluid, then the risk of infection for the baby will be higher over time. Therefore, you should consult a gynecologist, yes. The doctor will help perform the ultrasound and give the appropriate therapy.
May be useful.
