Hi Tia Putri, thanks for the question for HealthReplies.com
The discharge of pus from the lymph nodes is a further complication of swollen lymph nodes (or what is known as lymphadenitis) which has formed an abscess. It is most often caused by a bacterial infection of the lymph nodes. In Indonesia, one of the most common causes of pus discharge from lymph nodes is infection with glandular TB. Another possibility is a bacterial skin infection such as streptococci or staphylococci.
If there is an abscess that bursts until pus comes out, it's a good idea to immediately see a doctor for further cleaning of the abscess and an examination to find out the cause of the appearance of the lymph node abscess. An abscess that is left untreated, untreated, and untreated can lead to further infection that can lead to infection throughout the body (sepsis). If the abscess is only caused by a bacterial skin infection, the treatment in addition to cleaning the abscess is therapy with antibiotics. but if it is caused by a glandular TB infection, then you will need further therapy with antituberculosis drugs.
For now, it's a good idea to clean the outside of the abscess using gauze moistened with sterile saline (if possible) and cover the abscess with sterile gauze. Avoid getting the wound wet or submerged in water, and make sure you always wash your hands before and after touching the abscess.
That's all the information from me, hopefully it's enough to answer
