Hello Nosafikri5

Thank you for your question

So HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), is a virus that attacks the immune system and causes AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). HIV is transmitted by sufferers who have been infected to those who have not been infected in several ways, namely:

Sexual intercourse with those infected with HIV without protection (condoms). Have oral sex with those who are infected with HIV. Have anal sex with those who are infected with HIV. Use of needles and other puncture devices (eg piercings) used by people with HIV infection. Transmission from mothers with HIV infection to their babies during pregnancy and childbirth. Receiving blood transfusions from people with HIV. Blood contact with HIV patients with wounds on the bodies of individuals who have not been infected. So if your partner has been proven to be infected with the HIV virus, then you are most likely to be infected with the HIV virus when having sex with your partner, especially if you have sex without using a condom. If your partner does not have HIV infection, then your partner certainly will not transmit this viral infection. If indeed infected, of course later you and your partner will experience symptoms of AIDS after the incubation period of this disease. Where it usually takes about 12 weeks until you will experience symptoms of HIV and your body begins to form antibodies against this HIV infection. You should make sure your partner is not infected with HIV and you should also check yourself for HIV infection, where after about 12 weeks after infection or after having risky sexual intercourse, an HIV antibody test can be done to assess whether you have HIV infection or not. Examination to find the presence of these antibodies using the Elisa method (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay). If Elisa's test result is positive, it must be repeated and if it remains positive after the repetition, it must be confirmed with a more specific test, namely the Western Blot method. If the results are negative, then you most likely do not have HIV infection, but to be sure you should re-examine yourself after the first test.

You should immediately check yourself and your partner.

Hope this answer helps you.
