Do I Have To Install Dentures?
Hello, I am 21 years old, I just went to the dentist to pull out my left lower molars which are already cavities, and next Sunday I also have to pull out my right upper molars that have left roots because they are broken. Then the doctor advised me to attach dentures to avoid them from sliding. If there is, is there any other action besides installing dentures to prevent the teeth from sliding?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically, the act of extracting teeth must always be followed by the installation of dentures to prevent tooth shifting. Dentures themselves have various types, there are partial dentur, full dentur, dentur that can be removed, flexible dentur. Each of these types has their own installation indication, as well as having their own advantages and disadvantages. As an alternative to inserting dentures, your doctor may recommend installing dental implants (which are more permanent than dentures) or dental bridges.
You can discuss again with your dentist about the installation of dentures or these alternatives to find out the shape, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. We recommend that you install dentures or alternatively this is still done to prevent tooth shift. Shifting teeth will not only cause your teeth to be more messy, but also can cause dental malocclusion (upper and lower teeth cannot close properly), so that it can cause eating disorders and speech disorders.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
