Do Ovarian Cysts Need Surgery?
Hello, I have an ovarian cyst of 15cm + do I have to take surgery? Or can it be another way?
Hi Lrd, thank you for using HealthReplies.com beforehand.
Normally women have two ovaries, also known as ovaries. However, due to several risk factors such as hormonal imbalance one can form cysts in the ovaries. The size of the cyst that is formed also varies in each woman, ranging from small and asymptomatic to large with symptoms such as an enlarged abdomen, pelvic pain, to the presence of a full sensation in the stomach. Small cysts usually disappear by themselves after several menstrual cycles.
In some cases, ovarian cysts require further treatment in the form of hormonal therapy or surgery. Some conditions where ovarian cysts require further treatment in the form of surgery include:
1. Cyst that persists after going through several menstrual cycles (within 2-3 months)
2. Increased cyst size (> 7 cm)
3. On ultrasound examination an unusual tamoak cyst is seen
4. Has caused significant symptoms
It is very important to discuss your situation directly with the obstetrician in order to get a more appropriate and appropriate treatment. For now, take care of your health by consuming nutritious and balanced food, getting enough rest, regular exercise, avoiding cigarettes and alcohol to prevent worsening of the situation.
A few answers from me, hopefully it helps.
