Do Urine Drug Test Kits Detect Pregnancy?
My wife is pregnant with a doctor. Want to do a urine drug test whether the device can find out positive results of my wife’s pregnancy. When the drug is tested and the results are negative, don’t use drugs? ?
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Drug identification test uses a different device from a pregnancy test (test pack). Nevertheless, both types of tests can both use urine samples.
Several factors that affect the duration of drugs or substances classified as drugs, can be identified from the body include: type of drug / substance, duration of use, method of use, amount of use, the body's ability to metabolize the drug, and the type of sample used for examination. For example, in methamphetamine (meth) methamphetamine identification tests using urine samples, methamphetamine can be detected within 1-4 days of last use. If methamphetamine is often used before, the substance can be identified up to 1 week later.
Meanwhile, the test pack for antenatal care works by detecting the beta human chorionic gonadotropin (B-hCG) hormone in the urine. B-hCG is a hormone released by fertilized embryos when attached to the uterine wall, usually on the 6-8 days after fertilization.
Do not hesitate to consult a doctor if you want to undergo a drug identification test or pregnancy check. Thus information from us. Hopefully always healthy. May be useful.
