Do You Have To Take Anthelmintic Medication For Adults?
Should adults take worm medication or not?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically taking worm medication regularly every 6 months is only recommended for children from 1 year to 12 or 14 years (in some places it is recommended until the age of 14) who live in countries with high intestinal worms. Above that age taking worm medicine is no longer required because basically above that age someone should be able to maintain personal hygiene (meaning to be able to wash hands after handling soil, wash hands before eating, not put all objects in the mouth, etc.) .
If you are over 14 years old, then actually taking worm medicine does not need to be done routinely anymore. You only need to take anthelmintic if it is proven that you have worms.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
