Do You Have To Wear Glasses?
The results of the computer inspection are: (R) SPH 0.00 cyl -0.25 ax 87 se -0.25. Then the (L) sph +0.50 cyl -0.50 ax 92 se +0.25 is the conclusion there? Do I have to wear glasses? Enlighten me please
Hello Hanaza, Thank you for the question.
Did you do the examination at an eye specialist? A sharp examination of vision is recommended by an eye specialist because after this examination, if vision problems are found due to refractive abnormalities (eg nearsightedness, farsightedness, nearness, or astigmatism), the doctor will recommend further treatment that is suitable for you.
From the inspection that you attached, the following is information that I can convey:
for the right eye, you experience astigmatism / eye slinder 0.25 with an axis of 87 degrees
for the left eye, you experience nearsightedness / hypermetropia or plus 0.50, astigmatismes / cylinder eyes 0.50 with 92 degree axis
Farsightedness is a sharp vision impairment in which the sufferer does not clearly see objects at close range. This condition is caused by the light of objects that enter the eye not focused right on the retina of the eye but behind the retina so that the vision of an object becomes blurry. Astigmatism or cylindrical eye is a sharp disturbance of vision caused by abnormalities of corneal convexity that causes the light of objects that enter the eye to not focus at one point so that the object's vision becomes blurry. Axis is the degree of corneal convexity, this information is used to make cylindrical glasses in accordance with the degree of convexity. If you experience farsightedness and astigmatism, both of these conditions can be corrected by using glasses. However, if you have not consulted with an ophthalmologist, you should consult with an ophthalmologist to confirm the results of this examination. The doctor will provide appropriate treatment which can be in the form of the use of glasses or contact lenses based on these tests.
Hopefully this information is useful.
