Do You Need To Reduce The Minus Size When Using Soft Lenses?
I want to ask, I use glasses -0.75. If you buy contact lenses, do you have to reduce the minus size like buying the -0.50. Does the eye get worse if you use contact lenses that are -0.75, please explain, thank you 🤗
Hello Anastasya, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Glasses and contact lenses are used to overcome refractive problems in the eye. But keep in mind, these two alternatives cannot reduce. In terms of prescribing, glasses and contact lenses turned out to be different. The distance between the eye and the lens of the glasses (approximately 12mm) makes the prescribed correction size usually larger than the contact lens which directly touches the eye (usually the correction size decreases 0.25). But it is advisable to see your eye doctor before changing the glasses to contact lenses to overcome your minus eye. The doctor needs to double check your eyes to determine the correct size of the correction lens for you. Therefore the use that is not in accordance with the size of the correction will certainly cause dizziness and tired eyes. If using contact lenses are important for you to maintain contact lenses cleanliness so as not to infect the eye, do not immerse the contact lens with careless water, and keep the eyes dry when using soflens.
So, hopefully useful
