Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically you will be said to suffer from fever if your body temperature has risen to above 37.5 degrees Celsius. If your body temperature is still 37.5 or less, you cannot be said to have a fever. Body temperature can indeed vary throughout the day. The lowest temperature is in the morning (around 4 am) and the highest is during the afternoon (around 5 pm). Body temperature can also be affected by the temperature of your environment. If you take measurements of body temperature when your ambient temperature is high (the weather is hot), then your body temperature will also increase (sometimes it can even exceed 37.5 degrees Celsius).
The existence of a low-grade fever does not indicate that you should immediately see your doctor. If you are afraid of suffering from corona virus infection (COVID-19 disease), you are also not advised to go directly to a doctor. Examination of COVID-19 is currently still very limited and is only recommended for people who do have clear exposure to COVID-19 sufferers, as well as people who are already showing clear symptoms (fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath). If you only have a fever (without other symptoms), you will only be asked to isolate yourself at home while continuing to monitor your fever and your symptoms.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
