Does Brain Injury Affect The Nervous System?
noon, 4 months ago I had a motorcycle accident and made me unconscious for several days and after I realized I felt my left hand was difficult to move and my mouth was not symmetrical and could not feel the nature of things but now it had started to improve because of physiotherapy I wanted to ask if I could fully recovered?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Head injury will certainly cause interference with the nervous system because the brain organs in the head cavity function to regulate the central nervous system in humans. Symptoms of central nervous system disorders due to head injuries include disturbances in motor, sensory, balance, language skills, perception, and so forth.
One of the therapeutic plans in the treatment of post head injury is physiotherapy. Physiotherapy is designed differently in each patient because it is adapted to the patient's condition and the severity of the existing disorder. The physiotherapy action is useful to re-train the ability to experience interference due to damage to the central nervous system, so it is expected that the minimum remaining function can be maximized. How long the physiotherapy is needed also depends on the severity of the previous injury and how the patient's body responds to the therapy given.
Some patients can achieve the same abilities as before the injury through physiotherapy, while others experience sequelae after the injury. In other words the possibility of the return of the body condition as usual is very diverse in each condition.
That's all, hope you can help.
