Does Having Sex The Day Before The Testpack Affect The Test Results?
Hello, I have missed my period a week, when the testpack is negative, I have sex the day before the test. Does that affect the results of the testpack?
Thank you for the question.
Testpack results are obtained by detecting levels of the beta hCG hormone in urine. This hormone is produced by cells in the developing placenta (placenta). Therefore, if you do a testpack too early, which is only 1 day after having sex, it is likely that the results are indeed inaccurate. Ideally, a testpack should be done at least 1 week after a late menstruation after intercourse. However, it is different if you have already had sex before. If this is the case, then it doesn't matter if you do a testpack now, because the sexual intercourse you did before might cause you to become pregnant. Sexual intercourse done close to the time of the testpack will not necessarily affect the results.
When doing a testpack, so that the results are more accurate, it is recommended to:
Use the highest sensitivity testpack
Follow the recommendations for use as stated on the testpack packaging
Use urine sample for the first time in the morning
Repeat the inspection 3-7 days later to confirm the results
Regarding your condition, we recommend that you do another 3-7 day re-testpack to make sure, are you really not pregnant, or are you actually pregnant, only when the examination is too early. Or, it could also, check yourself directly to the doctor or obstetrician so that you can check with the ultrasound of your possible pregnancy.
Hope this helps ...
