Does It Have To Be Amputated And Can Cause Death If You Get Shot In The Leg?
I want to ask, the first question is if a person is hit by more than one shot in his leg, does he have to be amputated? cause of death thanks
Good evening, thanks for the question
Amputation is an operation to permanently remove certain body parts such as legs or arms for medical indication. Some medical indications of amputation include:
1. Severe infections of the extremities
2. Severe injury to the extremities, for example due to an explosion or accident
3. Gangrene of extremities
In the case of amputation, for example due to a gunshot wound, the indication of surgery is the same as in other cases, that is if the tissue covering the muscles, skin, nerves, blood vessels has been damaged and died so that it can no longer function at all. If treatment is rapid in some cases the tissue can still be saved, but if it is too long or very severe injury it may require an amputation procedure.
Primary injury to the extremities rarely leads to death, unless accompanied by injury to large blood vessels so that patients lose large amounts of blood and potentially death if not treated immediately. However, in the case of pure bone and muscle injuries in the extremities is not the case but other risks, namely the loss of legs or hands due to injuries that are very severe.
That's all, hope you can help
