Does Make-up Affect When Sick?
So like this, I want to ask. I often see artists when playing coma scenes in hospitals and they always wear makeup. I know that for the sake of filmmaking production, but does in real life use make-up when hospitalized even more so when commas are allowed? Does it not affect the patient’s condition? Thank you in advance 🙂
Hello Dewi Ratih, thank you for asking.
Basically, there are no fixed rules regarding whether or not patients can wear makeup while in treatment. To date, no scientific evidence has been found that makeup interferes with treatment procedures. Unless the makeup contains harmful ingredients, it may cause interactions with the drug. But logically, if someone wears makeup made from dangerous, then of course there will be side effects, with or without the patient being treated.
Wearing makeup certainly is a patient's basic right. Except for surgical procedures, especially the head area surgery, the face must be clean, including cleansing from makeup. Regarding the use of makeup when in a coma, back to logic, if a patient is in a coma, how would the patient wear makeup? Certainly not possible yes. Families will also generally be busy taking care of various other things that are emergency, so applying makeup to patients will be a number of matters. In essence, real life is certainly different from film.
Hopefully this answer is helpful. Regards.
