I want to know whether ovulation happens 2 days / more than 24 hours ?? because I checked on the 13th day at 11 noon, on the 14th day at 11 noon (already 24 hours) but on the 14th day ovulation test results are still positive … please explain 😊
Thank you for the question.
Ovulation is defined as the time when a mature egg cell is released from the ovary (ovary) to the uterus. This ovulation only happens for a short time, so it doesn't take more than 24 hours as you mentioned.
Today, there are indeed many ovulation detection devices for sale, including in the form of the test pack as you mentioned. This tool usually works by detecting changes in the hormone LH (luteinizing hormone) in the urine, which will increase before and during ovulation. Because of that, it could be that the results of examinations with this tool will show positive for more than 1 day.
However, you also need to know, that not all ovulation detection devices have the same sensitivity in detecting ovulation. In addition, some women are also not recommended to use this tool because the potential results are inaccurate, for example in patients with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). Therefore, it is still advisable to confirm your ovulation schedule forecasts with a variety of other methods, such as measuring basal body temperature, monitoring cervical mucus, and also regularly recording menstrual schedules.
So that the potential for pregnancy can be enlarged, you are advised to have more regular sexual relations (once every 1-3 days), not only during ovulation, but also a few days before and after, or also called the fertile period.
That's all our explanation. For more details, please consult directly with your doctor or obstetrician.
I hope this helps.
