Does Stomach Acid Can Occur When Symptoms Of Appendicitis?
. 3 weeks ago I had appendicitis. Before the operation there was a symptom of stomach acid rising up into the esophagus and the chest felt tight .. after the operation the symptoms disappeared … but why last week the upper abdomen felt swollen and hot. Throat like a lump … what is true this acid Symptoms are caused by appendicitis. ??
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
According to the latest research it was reported that indeed individuals with appendicitis have a tendency to be 2x more likely to experience gastric acid reflux or what is called gastroesophageal reflux (GERD).
Symptoms of GERD include burning and burning in the back of the chest or solar plexus and can spread to the neck accompanied by vomiting, or sour taste in the mouth.
The relationship between the two conditions is not yet clearly known, but is thought to be due to an autonomic nervous system disorder, a lack of fiber diet, and bacterial infection.
Do the following to reduce the risk of GERD recurrence, namely:
- Reducing weight
- Quit smoking
- Do not consume substances that irritate the stomach such as coffee, pain medications and alcohol
- Sleeping position should be with a higher head
- Minimum sleep after 2 to 4 hours after food
- Eat small portions and reduce fatty foods
- Expand fiber-rich foods
That's all, hope you can help
