Does Sweating Mean Fat Is Burning?
hello doctor, I want to ask if every time we sweat indicates that the fat in our body is burning? even though we are not exercising, such as cleaning the house by itself sweating, then when we are in the sun such as during the flag ceremony we sweat, does it also affect the burning of fat in our body? please explain, thank you
Hi Frida. Sweating is a process that occurs to regulate body temperature where when the body wants to release heat, it releases sweat containing water and salt from the body. The body will always try to maintain a normal temperature which is around 37 degrees Celsius. If there are conditions such as temperatures that are too hot from the outside such as sunburn, then sports where sports involve metabolic processes that ultimately produce heat in the body, both of which will probably change the temperature in the body. Therefore, to return the temperature to normal conditions, sweating occurs
Activities that can involve burning fat are sports that use stored fat to be burned into energy. Consult your doctor for more information. Hopefully helpful, and thank you. Regards, Dr Alyssa
