Does The Phlegm Have A Phlegm Virus?
My doc has been experiencing phlegm for 3 days without any coughing, fever, shortness of breath, can I include covid 19? How do I handle it?
Thank you for the question.
Symptoms of a new Corona virus infection (COVID-19) can vary from person to person, ranging from mild, severe, or even asymptomatic. Therefore, if you ask whether throat phlegm can be a symptom of COVID-19 or not, of course the answer can be yes, it can also be no.
Aside from COVID-19, your complaint may also be caused by exposure to dry air, allergies or irritation, acid reflux to the throat, viral or other bacterial infections, asthma, bronchitis, heart problems, immunity disorders, excessive vocal cord stretching, even tumors benign or malignant around the throat.
If this is the only complaint that you experience, you should not panic, and don't rush to see a doctor. It's safer for you to stay at home while doing natural treatments, such as:
Don't shout too much
Stay away from cold, oily, artificial sweet foods
Do not breathe through the mouth
Drink at least 2-3 liters a day, especially warm water, you can also add ginger or lemon
Eat a variety of fruits with bright colors
Stay away from cigarettes, dust, smoke, cold, pollution, dry air, as well as other things that make you allergic
Don't just take medicine carelessly without doctor's advice
Conversely, if other complaints appear more severe (such as high fever for more than 3 days, shortness, vomiting, persistent coughing) or if you feel you are at risk of contracting COVID-19 (such as having been in contact with sufferers, and staying or after traveling to an area with an outbreak), then you can see yourself directly to the doctor. If necessary, later you will be directed to undergo further examination (such as phlegm or throat swab test) or referred to an ENT specialist and internal medicine.
Hope it helps ..
