Does The Singapur Virus Cause Stomachaches And Headaches?
Good morning doctor, my child is 6.10 months old. From Friday he had a fever and cough, after I gave him the fever medicine, it went down and how many hours later it went up again. On Saturday he complained of stomach pain and dizziness. Then a sprue appears in the front gum. My child also complains that his ankle hurts. What are the symptoms of illness? Thank you Tuberta Lase
Good evening, thanks for the question
Hand, foot, mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral infection in infants and children. The infection will cause symptoms of rashes on the hands, feet, mouth and sometimes the genital area and buttocks. The most common cause is a coxakievirus strain infection.
HFMD is characterized by a fever that is not too high, decreased appetite, and weakness is called prodromal symptoms. Symptoms that then arise are pain in the mouth area because of canker sores. Rashes on the skin in the form of nodules filled with fluid that is not itchy, and usually also not painful.
Thrush in children is not always caused by HFMD disease. Other diseases that have similar symptoms such as herpes infections, varicella or chickenpox infections, and so forth. Therefore you should do further tests with your doctor to confirm the diagnosis and to get adequate therapy.
To prevent transmission of viral infections in children, prevention is needed by:
- Wash your hands with soap and running water

- Avoid sharing cutlery with other individuals or children who are sick
That's all, hope you can help.
