Dry, Cracked Nipples During Pregnancy?
Tonight, I’m a 25-year-old woman, just married 8 months ago and currently pregnant 8 months too. Before getting married up to now it contains both nipples, my breasts are broken and dry, I have tried kopeks and kopekannya like chewy flesh. No itching, no smell, and no lumps. Are these conditions normal? What specialist should I check for my nipples? Thanks.
Thank you for the question.
Nipples that are dry and cracked, even though they look light, can be very annoying for nursing mothers. Moreover, at the beginning of the breastfeeding period, the baby's attachment is often still not good, so that it can cause the nipples to feel pain and injury more easily. If not handled properly, worry about the condition of the nipple like this can be the focus of infection that is prone to spread to other organs. It is not impossible, conditions on the nipples like this can also frustrate your exclusive breastfeeding to your baby later.
Better, as early as possible, you check the condition of your nipples to the doctor, dermatologist, or obstetrician. With proper treatment, often your nipples can be conditioned to be healthier. At home, you can do the following efforts first:
Take regular baths and clean your nipples using a moisturizing soap. Do not manipulate excessive nipples during pregnancy, including cleaning them excessively, scrubbing, or exfoliating dry skin. Always use a clean bra, soft material, and also fit your breast size (not too tight) Drink more and eat fruits so that skin health is more awake Apply moisturizers on the skin around your breasts, but make sure they are safe to use during pregnancy. Hope it helps.
