Ear Drops For 5-year-olds?
I want to ask about the dosage of forumen use for children aged 5 years, how many drops huh? use of this forumen on prescription from a doctor tht but at the time of consultation it was not explained how many drops in 1x administration. the pharmacist wrote 10 drops for 1 time giving. but when I read the dosage listed in dos, it was only written sufficiently. So was the administration of 10 drops for a 5-year-old child still considered a reasonable dosage? Thank you.
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
The ear drops you mentioned have the active composition of sodium dokusate which is useful in removing cerumen (earwax). As is known, earwax often accumulates and then hardens in the ear canal, causing decreased hearing function. Not only that, this buildup of earwax can also trigger inflammation in the ear, which causes the ears to feel itchy, swollen, painful, and secrete an unpleasant odor.
Although it is a class of over-the-counter medicines, without conducting a direct examination on you, we are not authorized to describe the procedures for the use of the drug. Because, the dosage and method of using this drug need to be adjusted according to many factors, not only your age, but also your child's posture, ear condition, and so on. Therefore, it is more appropriate if you consult directly with a doctor or ENT specialist who examines your child directly.
Here are some suggestions from us to help overcome the blockage of dirt in a child's ear:
Avoid poking at a child's ear with any instrument, this action can actually make the dirt in the child's ear increasingly pile up and pushed into
Keep the child's ears dry and clean
Do not put anything in the child's ear, including water
Do not expose the child's ear to insects or other harmful foreign substances
Control the health of the child's ear every 6 months to the ENT specialist
Hope this helps ...
