Ear Pain To Hearing Loss?
Good afternoon, I want to ask! R nJust I went to the ENT clinic to check my ears, because it hurts or aches in the inner ear and feels sore, clean my ears. After both of them were clean, but how come my hearing was clearer, even though the sound from afar was still loud, especially those nearer, the point was very noisy in the ears because it was loud. Is this just normal because the feces just came out and it will be normal, but the hearing is usually not noisy like this ??? r nStill pain after the examination and no medication given by after cleaning. R nThank you please answer
Hello Fahry, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The hearing loss you experienced before may be caused by prop wax. Prop wax is ear wax that hardens and clogs the ear canal. Prop wax can cause various symptoms such as decreased hearing, ear pain, ear discharge, itchy ears, and sometimes it can also cause vertigo.
When the hardened earwax has been removed, your hearing will return to normal. Sometimes you will feel more sensitized hearing (you hear louder than before), this happens because your ear nerves are not used to this cleaner ear canal condition (Imagine if all this time there is a blockage in your ear and you have to hear music. at volume 10 so you can hear clearly. When the blockage is gone, your ears can actually hear clearly at volume 5, so volume 10 will sound very loud and noisy). This condition will get better on its own in a few hours to a few days.
After cleaning the ear canal, no medication is really needed. The pain that occurs will also get better on its own in a few days, but if the pain is very disturbing, you can take painkillers such as paracetamol or compress the outside of your ear with a warm compress to help reduce pain.
If indeed after 3 days your ears are still experiencing problems, you can go back to your ENT doctor.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
