Ears Hurt And Suppurate After Swimming?
it’s been 1 week my ears festered, then it hurts, but now it’s not sick but it still comes out pus. Before the festering and aching ears I finished swimming. I wonder why? It’s dangerous to keep festering. I’m waiting for the answer, thanks
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
The occurrence of an ear infection or a ruptured eardrum will cause the ear to discharge a fluid that contains blood or pus. This condition can be caused by several things, namely:
- Infection of the external ear / Otitis Eksterna
- Infection of the middle ear / Otitis Media
- There was trauma to the eardrum
- and others.
If the fluid coming out of the ear is pus, it is likely that an infection has occurred in your ear. If allowed to happen continuously it will certainly be dangerous for your health. It is better to do an examination with a doctor. The doctor will conduct interviews and several examinations to find out the cause of your complaint.
Here's what you need to do at home: avoid cleaning the ears too deep, keep the inner ears dry, avoid putting fluids into your ears, avoid exhaling from the nose too hard, avoid swimming for a while, get enough rest.
If you feel severe headaches, high fever, immediately see a doctor.
