Effect Of Menstrual Cycles With Fasting?
Morning, I’m ify 25 years old. I want to ask, does fasting affect menstrual blood volume? Because before that my menstrual cycle was only 5 days but normal blood volume. Now, during this Ramadhan, my menstruation was only slightly brown, and only 4 days later it was clean. Does fasting matter? Or is it because something happened like a cyst or myoma? However, if my cyst or myoma has never been a record of stomach and pelvic pain during menstruation. Thank you
Good afternoon Ify, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. There are many factors that can affect a person's menstrual cycle, including:
Weight gain that goes up and down is too drastic
Overweight or underweight
Eat oily, fatty foods, junk food and fast food
Stress, a lot of thoughts
Fatigue, too much activity
Having thyroid hormone disorders
Having female hormonal disorders
From all that, we don't know which one you're experiencing right now. Fasting can affect menstruation if fasting makes your weight go up and down significantly or fasting makes you excess or less weight. But if done normally and according to the rules (such as breaking the fast or not too much), fasting should not affect the menstrual cycle. It could not be fasting that causes this, but other conditions, such as fatigue, for example, which just happened during the fasting month.
But apart from that, menstruation that lasts for 4 days with brownish-colored blood is actually not including a kelaian, and if you do not have a history of illness and experience certain complaints, actually you do not need to worry too much. You simply apply a healthy lifestyle with adequate rest, avoid stress, eat fruits, vegetables, and meet your daily fluid needs, and if the complaints are still settled then consult your obstetrician. So, hopefully answering your question.
