Emotional Overload At Night

Hello doctor. I want to ask. Sometimes every night around 8 to 3 at night I often feel emotional overload. Like thinking about things you shouldn’t think about, feeling alone, to the point of making me cry. Is this normal?

Hello Rajendra,
Thank you for the question.
Excessive emotions, thinking about nonsense, feeling alone, until crying without cause that often recurs every night can be a sign that you have a psychiatric disorder, such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, delusional disorder, schizophrenia, and so on. It could also be, actually this is only part of a normal mood swings, for example due to hormonal influences, when overwritten by life problems that are quite heavy, when lacking rest, or experiencing other severe mental stress.
It's best not to worry too much about this. In order to improve, you can apply the following steps:
Keep your days busy with good activities, such as working, studying, helping parents, honing hobbies, exercising, worshiping, and so on
Do not get used to being alone, daydreaming, fantasizing everywhere
Expand thanks, think positively towards others and God who has created the best life destiny for you
At bedtime, do things that make you relax
Don't over-use gadgets
Discipline to live a healthy lifestyle, away from cigarettes, drugs, and also alcohol
However, if you feel your complaint has not improved at all with the above efforts, or there is a desire to hurt yourself / others, do not hesitate to check yourself directly to the doctor or psychiatrist. In this way, of course the doctor can evaluate more deeply your condition, then give him the best treatment.
Hope this helps ...
