paging. I want to know that my husband had a lump on his left buttocks at first 2 years ago it was a red boil and was painful, then it became a lump and now it’s bigger, around my thumb. How to treat it? Is it dangerous? Please explain. Trim’s 🙏

1 Answer:

Hi Icha12,

Lump on the buttocks can be caused by several things, such as:

Lipoma, a benign tumor of fat cells Cyst, filled with fluid Abscess, or often referred to as a boil, filled with fluid such as pus Fistula, a lump due to the passage to the anus To be sure what the lump is, I suggest you to immediately consult a surgeon so that it can be done complete inspection to proper handling. And should not be left to avoid more severe complications such as the occurrence of malignant cell growth. The treatment also varies depending on the cause of the lump, the doctor can give medicine until when it is deemed necessary to have surgery.

For home care that can be done: keep the area clean to reduce the potential for infection, avoid scratching or squeezing the lump, if you feel pain you can take pain relievers such as paracetamol (if not allergic) and avoid pressing on the area.

That's my explanation. Hopefully useful and your husband recovers soon. Thank you
