Exercising While Recovering After Illness?
Hello,rnI want to explain the condition first. So I’m on a diet and routinely do cardio like running. But recently I got sick symptoms such as a sore throat, a stuffy nose, and a slightly warm body. But after I took medicine and vitamins today, it seems like it’s healed… only the nose is still a bit stuffy. My question is, can I do a cardio run today? Or should I still have to wait? Thank you in advance.
It would be nice if Sinta waited until she was really primed first, even though the other complaints had decreased and only the complaints of a stuffy nose were showing that your condition was not really prime. A blocked nose is certainly very disturbing the breathing process, especially if you are exercising which will certainly trigger an increase in the frequency of breath. Of course this will further interfere with your sports activities.
Then someone who is still in the healing process is expected not to experience fatigue because it can cause the body's resistance to decrease which eventually takes a long time to recover or may even get sick again.
Sick conditions also require good nutritional intake to maintain endurance, so it is hoped that Sinta will not be too hard on herself so that she does an unhealthy diet because it has a negative impact on Sinta's own health and can cause the illness she is experiencing to worsen again.
So that so that the healing process can be much faster so that you can carry out activities as usual, Sinta can try the following tips:
Make sure you get enough sleep which is about 7-8 hours/day
Ensure adequate nutritional intake, namely by consuming a balanced nutritious diet.
Drink more water
Try not to do too many activities, but that doesn't mean you just sleep all day, activities that increase the frequency of breathing and heart rate, as well as heavy lifting activities should be avoided until the body condition is really prime.
