Exit The House During The 19th Pandemic
Good afternoon doctor, I want to ask about leaving the house when the pvidemic covid 19, my parents forbid me to leave the house because of this pandemic. Can we actually go out to meet someone in the middle of this pandemic? Because I read a WHO article that covid 19 does not spread in the air. Please explain doctor. Thank you.
Good evening, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. COVID-19 or corona virus is indeed endemic in the world and especially Indonesia. This virus is dangerous because it can cause severe complications in the respiratory system and lead to death.
As for your question, it's true that the recommendation now is that everyone should not leave the house except for matters that really matter. Indeed, this virus does not spread through the air, but you can not guarantee that everything you hold outside the house is free from the corona virus. Say you don't touch anything, at least you can't guarantee the person you meet is free from corona. This virus does not spread through the air, but it can spread through invisible water vents that come out of the mouth when someone coughs, sneezes or talks. So if it turns out that the person you are meeting is corona positive, even though he doesn't experience any symptoms, you can still get it. Worse yet, you can then bring the virus home, and at home, even if you are then not infected because your immune system is still good, you can still infect your parents. And they might actually experience severe symptoms.
Therefore, the advice remains not to be outside the home except for important matters. Even if you do have to be outside, make sure you wash your hands and change clothes and take a bath when you get back home. So, hopefully answering your question.
