Explanation Of Coccyx Subluxation X-rays In Sacrococcyx Joint?
Hi, I’m a 15 year old girl. I want to ask you about the x-ray results showing that there is a coccyx subluxation in the sacrococcyx joint. Explanation please,. 1 month ago I fell while doing physical exercise and the next day my tailbone hurt when pressing (like sitting, getting up from sitting, prostrating, etc.). Please help, is it dangerous and what are the temporary measures to deal with it at home?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Spinal subluxation is a condition where a partial dislocation or displacement of the joints occurs which causes disruption in the straightness of the spinal arch. Symptoms include:
1. Back pain
2. Limitation of motion
3. Pain in the lower limbs
4. Stiffness in the back
The cause of this condition can be due to a history of spinal cord injury, repetitive movements, or abnormal bone structure. Treatment in such cases depends on the severity of the disease judged by symptoms and radiological features. Initial treatment is usually in the form of therapy with drugs and technology-based interventions with physiotherapy modalities. Therefore, do consultations with your doctor again for future treatment plans.
While what can be done to reduce symptoms and prevent worsening of common conditions include:
1. Avoid manipulative movements on the back
2. Not doing strenuous activities
3. Cold compresses on the painful area for 10-15 minutes for 2-3 times per day
That's all, hope you can help.
