Explanation Of Malaria Examination Results?
What is the meaning of ++++? Why the 4x plus? Thanks
Hello Adrian, thank you for asking
The malaria test that has become the standard so far is to see whether there are malaria parasites in the blood smear (blood that has been prepared for examination) or not. The results of this examination are generally interpreted with results (-), (+) to (++++), each of which has a different meaning, namely:
(-) = no malaria parasites were found in blood smear (+) = found 1-10 parasites in every 100 visual fields (++) = found 11-100 parasites in every 100 visual fields (+++) = found 1-10 parasites in each field of view (++++) = found> 10 parasites in each field of view The more signs (+) are included, this means that the number of parasites found in the examination also means that the stronger the person is affected malaria.
I hope this helps.
