Explanation Of Reactive VDRL Test Results?
Afternoon. R n Yesterday I did the VDRL test and the results were 1: 1 reactive non reactive. R nPlease explain
The VDRL test is an additional examination to find out whether you have syphilis or not where if the results are reactive there is infection and if the results are nonreactive then they are free from syphilis infection. In this case the test is an additional examination, therefore to establish the diagnosis needs to be adjusted with an interview about the symptoms that arise and also a physical examination. Re-consult the results of your additional examination at the examining doctor in order to establish a diagnosis of your condition and be given treatment according to the cause.
The discharge itself can become abnormal if the amount is more than usual, changes in color and smell and is accompanied by additional symptoms such as pain during urination, pain during sexual intercourse, abdominal pain and others. The causes themselves range from bacterial infections, fungal infections, parasitic infections such as trichomoniasis or due to sexually transmitted infections.
