Explanation Of Tubex Test Results And Has Been Declared Typhus?
, I have been declared typhus for 19 days, and the tubex lab results showed positive 6. But my body is like a healthy person, I don’t feel sick, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, etc. What I want to ask, should I be hospitalized? Thanks..
Typhus is a bacterial infection Salmonella thypii that can infect the body through contaminated food and drink. Symptoms include such as:
Fever 1 - 2 weeks especially increasing at night
Fatigue and sore muscles
Nausea and vomiting
In children, diarrhea can occur, while in adults it can cause constipation
Loss of appetite
To make sure itself, it is necessary to carry out a physical and supporting examination such as the Widal test or the tubex test which is faster and more accurate. If the tubex results are 6-10, it can indicate a strong typhoid infection. Handling of typhoid itself is by bed rest to rest well, administration of adequate antibiotics, treatment of symptoms that arise and also maintain food intake and personal hygiene by regularly washing hands before and after eating.
Self-medication needs to be carried out in a hospital or inpatient if the patient experiences difficulty in fluid and nutritional intake, such as continuous vomiting and severe nausea, severe diarrhea, flatulence or lack of fluids to dehydration. If not, treatment can be done at home by paying attention to the treatment given by the doctor and maintaining the condition of the body not to do strenuous activities. But if the condition worsens it is necessary to immediately go to the hospital.
Hope it is useful,
