Extraordinary Pain In The Caesarean Scar During Menstruation?
Caesarean section was 1.5 years ago, but until now every menstruation ex-caesarean section is very painful. why is that? what steps need to be taken?
Hello, thanks for asking.
In sectio caesaria surgery, an incision is made in the abdominal wall and uterine wall. In the healing process, if the former surgery will form scar tissue. Sometimes the scar tissue causes itching in the abdominal wall or pain, until quite a long time. During menstruation, contractions of the uterine wall muscles occur which aim to expel endometrial tissue into the vagina. Endometrial tissue contains many blood vessels, that is why it is said to be menstrual blood.
Chances are, when the uterus contracts during menstruation, it causes pain in the surgical scar in the uterus. You can try warm compresses at the site of pain or take analgesics that are sold green (over-the-counter (if an allergic reaction arises, stop taking the drug immediately). Also consult this with your obstetrician. The doctor may do an ultrasound to assess whether there is a mass in the uterus. Some masses, such as endometriosis, myomas, or ovarian cysts, can cause severe pain during menstruation. The action will depend on the presence or absence of mass in the uterus.
Thus the short information from me, hopefully you are helped. Regards.
