Do I want to ask the validity of my eye acuity test is Right eye 4/60 Left eye 6/15 That’s what it means?
Hello Ramadan Teguh,
A sharp vision test is done to assess the sharpness of a person's vision where sharp vision can decrease one of the most common is due to refractive disorders. Refractive disorders themselves vary such as nearsightedness or myopia, farsightedness, cylinder eyes or old eyes. This condition can occur which varies in individuals can also occur simultaneously for example nearsightedness + cylindrical or nearsightedness + farsightedness especially in the elderly. Normal normal vision is 6/6 or 20/20 where the eyes of the examined individual can see objects or read letters with a distance of 6 meters and normal people can see at a distance of 6 meters or see a distance of 20feet. can see objects or read letters at a distance of 6 meters while in normal people can see from a distance of 15 meters, while the results of 4/60 are interpretable when the individual examined cannot read the highest or largest letters.
Refractive disorders themselves can be corrected by the use of glasses or contact lenses in accordance with the abnormalities experienced by refraction or corrective actions, one of which is surgery. If you have used glasses before, you can do the correction of the strength of the lens lenses in accordance with the current conditions. You also need to routinely exercise control in addition to correcting glasses as well as to prevent complications that can be caused by refractive disorders by checking your ophthalmologist. Do not forget to also maintain eye health by eating nutritious foods that are good for eye health, avoid habits that reduce eye health, use sunglasses when exposed to direct sunlight, avoid smoking, exercise and limit the use of gadgets or computer screens.
