Eye Injections For Diabetics?
I want to ask, for the cost of eye injections for diabetics who use BPJS, can they pay for the doctor’s services themselves? This is because BPJS is queuing up and until now there has been no call for injections. thank you
BPJS itself is a government-owned Social Security Administration that manages health insurance for all Indonesian residents. By paying dues every month you can get health services at every health facility (faskes) in collaboration with BPJS.
The BPJS applies a tiered referral pattern. Every patient who wants to have himself checked out must first come to the first level of health facilities (for example: puskesmas, clinic, individual practicing doctor) for treatment. If the first level health facility cannot handle, the patient will be referred to another higher level health facility (hospital) according to their needs. When arriving at the hospital, sometimes BPJS users have to queue to get action (elective-which is not an emergency). This is due to the limited number of hospitals and health facilities that have these facilities and have collaborated with BPJS. You can ask your first BPJS / health facility office for other alternative health facilities with fewer queues to get the action you need. You should also ask directly to the hospital / health facility where you are going to take action about alternative payments / administration besides using BPJS.
That is the explanation from me. I hope this helps.
