Eye Vision Examination Results?
My left eye is 0.45, what is that?
Hello Henti Rachma Astari, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Visual acuity examination results can be displayed in decimal, fraction to logMar (magnification requirements). The results you get are most likely to be sharp in decimal form, which is equivalent to a vision of 20/50 (patients can see the maximum best at 20 feet while normal people are at 50 feet) or 6/15 (patients can see the best maximum at 6 distances meters, while normal people are 15 meters). Such vision includes mild refractive abnormalities (normal visual impairment). If you can see letters / numbers at the time of examination up to 6/6 (like a normal person) with a pin hole (reading letters / numbers through a small hole in front of the eye) means that there are no anatomical abnormalities in the eye that obstruct the view (eg cataracts, turbidity cornea, etc.), and that can be corrected with glasses (checked with a lens trial). It is recommended to wear glasses according to the lens trial examination (can be done in the practice of ophthalmologists, can also be done in optics if it is confirmed there are no other abnormalities in the eye).
All of our suggestions and answers, hopefully useful.
