Feel Like Something Is Moving On The Feet?
In the morning, I want to ask at my feet, how come there are people who move, even though there’s nothing, why?
Hello, Usna thank you for the question.
Feeling like something is moving on the feet can be caused by several possibilities, including:
- certain nerve damage so that it causesandesthesia which means abnormal sensation, this can be a sensation of touch which is usually in the form of pain, discomfort, or other abnormal touches. Generally this is felt in the legs, but can also be felt in the hands. This pain can be acute pain, which can appear suddenly and disappear or in the form of chronic symptoms which can last for a certain period of time. This is also called neuropathic or neurogenic pain originating from the body's nervous system, generally a disease that can cause this, for example multiple sclerosis where it is an autoimmune disease in which the body mistakenly identifies and attacks the body's nerve protective membrane (myelin).
- worm infection
- psychological disorders such as the existence of false beliefs that there is something in the body.
- dermatitis or inflammation of the skin due to allergies
- Morellellons disease is a skin disorder that is rarely found where there are reddish marks on the skin and intense itching that causes sensations such as crawling under the skin.
If you feel disturbed by this and the symptoms are often disturbing then we recommend that you be able to see a neurologist so that the doctor can conduct a thorough examination and ascertain your condition. If this is related to the nervous system, some treatments that may be given by doctors to reduce symptoms are antidepressant drugs (to change the body's response to pain) or anticonvulsants (to relieve stimulated nerves). In addition, pain relievers containing lidocaine or capsaicin may be able to relieve the discomfort caused. But if this is due to other conditions then the treatment will be different according to the causes caused.
Thus the information we can convey, hopefully helps.
